Our Outsourced CTO offering lines up OCTO™ executives with these characteristics with mid-sized (usually <$15B AUM) firms. Terrific candidates for F2’s OCTO™ offering will have strength and alignment with the following:

Experience & Background

  • RIA, Wealth and/or Family Office business model experience and depth
  • Communication and organizational experience and strength
  • Consulting background (preferably external)
  • Proven ability to go from ideation to implementation while rallying an organization behind you
  • Operations leadership experience (client reporting, recon process, onboarding, tech providers+, implementations and upgrades)
  • CRM ownership and implementation success
  • Experience reviewing, weighing and selecting RIA technology


  • Passion for this space, especially after having done this work elsewhere and wanting to expand to more
  • Ability to build consensus, build relationships, influence and lead
  • Curious about the markets, business models, organizations and inner workings of change
  • Strong organizational skills and a proven track record of working remote (from the rest of the team and client)
  • Creative mindset and a consistent mental itch trying to find

Wealth/Advisory Value Chain Knowledge

  • Has a perspective on what a great client experience is
  • Prospect to onboarding to management/reporting
  • Rebalancing and compliance
  • Reporting, digital and planning
